The Nanovic Institute provides funding and fellowships to graduate students from all fields that engage Europe and European ideas.
The Institute supports graduate education through a number of grant programs including research, conference, and language funding as well as competitive dissertation fellowships and the Institute’s Graduate Fellows Program. While the Nanovic Institute accepts proposals from students with wide-ranging interests in European studies, it prioritizes the funding of applications that directly engage with one or more of its research priorities. The institute welcomes graduate student contributions to all aspects of the intellectual life of our community.
The Nanovic Institute offers two graduate research grants: academic year and summer grants. These awards support a wide variety of graduate student research in Europe studies. Grants can be used to conduct research necessary for the development or completion of a thesis, dissertation, or publication. Academic year grants cannot interfere with any on-campus commitments or responsibilities.
