In 2019 the International Institute for Ethics and Contemporary Issues and the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Ukrainian Catholic University inaugurated an annual international conference series within the framework of a broad theme entitled "Integral Human Development in the Digital Age." The underlying aim of the series is to bring diverse fields of study into a fruitful multidisciplinary dialogue on matters of public relevance with special reference to "integral human development" and within the framework of Catholic social teaching.
Nanovic Institute Interim Director Clemens Sedmak will moderate the panel discussion, "Integral Human Development, the Pandemic and the Need for a New Social Ethics" (Thursday, February 25 at 10 am ET) with Notre Dame faculty Scott Appleby, Marilyn Keough Dean of Notre Dame's Keough School of Global Affairs, Catherine Bolten, Associate Professor of Anthropology and Peace Studies, Julia Kowalski, Assistant Professor of Global Affairs, and Rev.
