About the Conference
The conference builds on the Nanovic Institute’s “Pivot Towards Policy” initiative – with its overarching themes of immigration and challenge to national identities, religion and the secular state, and threats to democracy and European integration – to provide students in all disciplines with an opportunity to come together and discover the depth of student-led European Affairs research.
Call for Papers
In an effort to build community and provide academic support to students in all fields whose work engages with European Affairs, we would like to invite graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Notre Dame to participate in the first ever Nanovic Institute for European Studies Student Conference on Saturday, April 27.
The Conference will provide a forum for academic exchange amongst students whose research projects relate to European Affairs. While presenting time is limited to 8-10 minutes, presenters are encouraged to make a version of their work available ahead of time to maximize audience feedback and encourage prolonged partnerships across disciplines.
Papers that speak to the Nanovic Institute’s “Pivot Towards Policy” initiative – with its overarching themes of immigration and challenge to national identities, religion and the secular state, and threats to democracy and European integration – will be given special consideration.
We look forward to a program that contributes new insights to European Studies, new working relationships, and to the vibrant European Studies community here at Notre Dame.
