Professor Rolf-Dieter Heuer, German experimental particle physicist, was invited to deliver the 2017 Nanovic Forum Lecture. He delivered a lecture entitled “Science Bridging Cultures and Nations: Exploring the Early Universe.” Heuer has also served as Director-General of CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research (2009-2015).
