-

Location: Raclin Murphy Museum of Art (View on map )

In this first program of a two-part series, join Rita Berg, Paintings Conservator of the Midwest Art Conservation Center, and Robert R. Coleman, Notre Dame Professor Emeritus of Art History, as they discuss the treatment and research invested into Vincenzo Spisanelli’s monumental Noli Me Tangere (1640). Together, they reveal the painting’s significance, context, function, and symbolism.

This program will begin in the Learning Commons with a presentation and conversation before continuing the discussion in front of the painting in the galleries.

The program is free and open to all. Mark your calendar for the series conclusion on Thursday, July 11th at 5:30 p.m.
