On September 19, 2023, forces from Azerbaijan defeated local forces and took control over Nagorno-Karabakh, an area largely populated by ethnic Armenians. Since then, by some estimates, more than 100,000 people have fled to neighboring Armenia, prompting an international crisis response as the number of displaced persons grows.
The Nanovic Institute will host a virtual flash panel with both academics and those on the ground in Armenia today to discuss this crisis.
Please register for the panel on Zoom for full participation. The panel may also be viewed live at the bottom of this event page and on the Nanovic Institute YouTube channel.
Questions will be collected in advance of the event. Please submit your questions for the panelists using the Google form linked below.
