The Nanovic Institute for European Studies will hold an exploratory session with European-based colleagues to consider the meaning of "peripheries" in the context of European Studies. This workshop aims to support the Institute in the fulfillment of its 2021-2026 strategic plan—Engaging Big Questions and "Peripheries" in Europe—particularly the goal of focusing on the margins and marginalized people, topics, regions, languages, and cultures. The workshop will also support the development of an accompanying book series, one that will adopt an enlarged scope of academic inquiry that engages with "peripheries" in these ways.

This will be a closed, invitation-only event.
