Megan Koreman (‘86) was a PLS major at Notre Dame before earning her PhD from the University of California at Berkeley in modern European history. The Escape Line: How the Ordinary Heroes of Dutch-Paris Resisted the Nazi Occupation of Western Europe was published by Oxford University Press. Koreman taught at Texas Tech and the University of Michigan and is currently part of a European research workshop on transnational resistance headed by Robert Gildea at Oxford.

Koreman is the only historian who has been granted access to the extensive collection of the private papers of Jean Weidner, the leader of the Dutch-Paris Escape Line.
