For fifty consecutive summers, the residents of tiny hill town in Tuscany have confronted the issues that they, like many other Italians, find most pressing or worrisome by turning their lives into a play, which they then perform in the village square.

Following their production in 2012 over the course of a year, this beautiful, fascinating, timely film speaks well beyond the walls of the little piazza in Monticchiello and makes a potent argument for the power and fragility of art.

Made by Jeff Malmberg and Chris Shellen. Not Rated. 91 minutes. Italian with excellent subtitles.
