The Most Reverend Salvatore Fisichella, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization and Titular Archbishop of Vicohabentia, will deliver the 2014 Terrence R. Keeley Vatican Lecture entitled, “The Role of the Church in Contemporary Society” on Wednesday, February 26th at 5:00 p.m. in the Hesburgh Center Auditorium.

About the Keeley Vatican Lecture

Dedicated to enhancing the presence of European studies at Notre Dame, the Nanovic Institute sponsors this annual lecture supported by Terrence R. Keeley of the Nanovic Institute Advisory Board. This lecture provides students and faculty the opportunity to explore questions involving Notre Dame’s Catholic mission with distinguished representatives from the Holy See.

Each year’s lecturer is chosen by the Nanovic Institute in consultation with our Advisory Board and Notre Dame administration.
