This month, however, the Nanovic Institute is moving the mandatory meeting over to the Center for the Study of Language and Culture (329 DeBartolo). The wonderful folks in the CSLC are hosting a series of student talks on doing senior thesis research in Europe. At this event, you will be able to hear from three Nanovic student scholars as they tell us about their experiences doing research in Europe:
Sarah Grothaus (Class of ’11, Major in Film, Television and Theatre) is an MES student and a Nanovic grant recipient. During her Fall Break, she went to the Czech Republic to conduct thesis research.
Ann Weber (Class of ’11, Majors in History and Theology) is a Nanovic grant recipient. She spent a part of last summer in Austria conducting thesis research.
Claire Brown (Class of ’11, Major in Anthropology) has received multiple Nanovic grants. She has spent portions of two consecutive summers in Ireland conducting thesis research. She began her research as a Sophomore, so her talk will be of special interest to all of you Sophomores.
The CSLC event is free and open to all. Refreshments will be provided.
