On Holocaust’s Periphery: Poles and their Jewish Neighbors

Professor Gross is the Norman B. Tomlinson Professor of War and Society in the history department at Princeton University. He is the author of the book, Neighbors: The Destruction of the Jewish Community in Jedwabne, Poland . The book explores the July 1941 Jedwabne massacre committed against Polish Jews in a village in Nazi-occupied Poland by their long-time neighbors. His most recent publication is Fear: Anti-Semitism in Poland after Auschwitz.
