Leadership Programs
The Nanovic Institute supports the professional and spiritual development of leaders from its Catholic University Partnership (CUP) institutions. Through leadership programs held at the University of Notre Dame and through Notre Dame's Global Network, the institute aims to help build an international community of resilient leaders and skilled executives.
Catholic Leadership Program

Since 2017, the Nanovic Institute has supported leaders from each of its partner universities by hosting a week-long Catholic Leadership Program, an executive program for Catholic leadership focused on management skills, strategic planning, and philanthropy development. For this program, the institute welcomes applications from leaders at CUP institutes.
Previously held in collaboration with the Mendoza College of Business’s Nonprofit Professional Development program, this program takes place at the University of Notre Dame, typically during the summer, and is held every 1-2 years. In July 2023, the institute welcomed its fifth cohort of CUP leaders to the campus in South Bend.

Advanced Catholic Leadership Program

The Advanced Catholic Leadership Program is focused on building resilience into leadership. It offers up to 24 leaders an opportunity to renew and deepen their leadership, time management, and relationship-building skills. Uniquely, the program is designed to provide an integrated spiritual component. By integrating leadership and spiritual components, the program facilitates a renewed sense of mission and develops tools for leaders to be effective and resilient, especially in challenging times.
The inaugural Advanced Catholic Leadership Program took place at Notre Dame Rome in May 2022; the second is scheduled for July 2025. Depending on demand, the institute anticipates holding future sessions in Europe every 3-5 years.
Since the Advanced Catholic Leadership Program builds upon the Catholic Leadership Program, applications from alumni of the latter program are especially welcome. The institute also welcomes applications from senior leaders at CUP institutions and will consider applications from others, as well.
