Volodymyr Turchynovskyy is a returning visiting scholar, having served in the role in the 2006-2007 academic year, and an accomplished scholar and administrator, serving as dean of social sciences faculty and director of the International Institute for Ethics and Contemporary Issues at Ukrainian Catholic University. He earned his Ph.D. in philosophy at the International Academy of Philosophy in Liechtenstein, writing his thesis on moral subjectivity. With interests in moral philosophy and emerging technologies and communications, Prof. Turchynovskyy spent the fall of 2019 at the Institute researching texts that explored the integration of these new ways of communication in the context of a European “public square.”
