Balázs Mezei, professor of philosophy and Chair of the Department of Philosophy at Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Hungary, worked on a monograph entitled Religion and Revelation after Auschwitz (published in 2013). He developed cooperation with professors of the University of Notre Dame and launched the series Illuminating Modernity (with Bloomsbury). With specialties in phenomenology, the philosophy of religion, ethics, and the history of philosophy, Mezei enjoyed wide-ranging discussions around campus and is now part of a nascent collaborative project with Notre Dame faculty to publish recent theological work currently unknown to Anglophone scholars.
