Jewish Perspectives on Integral Human Development

-

Location: 1050 Jenkins Nanovic Halls I Zoom Webinar

Jewish Perspectives Human Dignity

Integral human development is a holistic model of human flourishing articulated in Catholic social teaching and resonant in multiple religious, humanistic, and philosophical traditions worldwide. Studying different traditions can shed new light on this cross-disciplinary approach to human dignity, which proposes solutions that consider the whole person.

What insights does Judaism bring to our exploration of integral human development? How does Judaism define human dignity, and what obligations does it place on us to support it? How do Jewish values influence important humanitarian and development work?

Join us to hear from Jewish academics, faith leaders, and students, who will explore these important questions together.

Presented by the Ansari Institute for Global Engagement with Religion and the Nanovic Institute for European Studies.

Stay tuned for future discussions exploring additional faith traditions.
