Marek Babic returned to the University of Notre Dame as a visiting scholar for the 2024-25 academic year. He previously served as a visiting scholar during the 2010-2011 academic year and participated in the Catholic Leadership Program at the Nanovic Institute in 2017.
Babic serves as associate professor of history at the Catholic University in Ružomberok, Slovakia, where he previously served as dean of the Faculty of Arts and Letters (2016-2023) and chair of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Arts and Letters (2012-16). Babic completed his doctoral studies at Comenius University, Bratislava, after earning an undergraduate degree in classical philology there.
