Elisa Bisson

Graduate Fellow, 2026-27

Elisa Bisson is a fifth-year PhD candidate in Italian Studies. Her current research focuses on the reception of Dante's "Comedy" as an encyclopedic source of knowledge. This study is supported by the presence of diagrams and visual schemes in major commentaries, such as those by Andrea Lancia, Iacomo della Lana, and the Ottimo commento, which were intended to educate their readers. Additionally, her second field of research focuses on Giovanni Pascoli's works and poems and their connection to Italian emigration in the 19th century.
