David studies the history and development of economics from the perspectives of history and philosophy of science, with a particular interest in the tradition of historical epistemology and French epistemology more generally. David's current research centers around the history of inflation and general price increases in early modern Europe, aiming to understand how attempts to conceptualize general price increases can be seen as part of the broader transformations in scientific thought that occurred in early modern Europe.
