Lukasz Niesiolowski-Spano

Łukasz Niesiołowski-Spanò is a Polish historian of antiquity, specializing in the history of ancient Palestine, the history of biblical Israel and the Philistines. He was appointed the director of the Historical Institute of the University of Warsaw in 2016.  He was a visiting scholar at Notre Dame in the Warsaw Exchange Program during the 2009-2012 academic year. He is a member of the European Association of Biblical Studies, the Catholic Biblical Association of America, Society of Biblical Literature and the European Association for Jewish Studies.
