Jela Kehoe is a lecturer of English language and literature at the Catholic University in Ružomberok, Slovakia. She earned her Ph.D. in translation studies from Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra and just prior to her arrival to the Nanovic Institute completed a two-year term as vice-dean for education. With research interests spanning the relationship of language and identity, Professor Kehoe explored the written and oral traditions of Ireland, including the influences of imperialism and national mythologies, as well as the teaching of English in the American educational system.
