Fr. Ante Crnčević, OFM, is a professor in the Faculty of Catholic Theology at the University of Zagreb and a member of the Franciscan Province of the Holy Redeemer. He has taught on liturgy at the University of Zagreb since 2000 and has served as head of the Department of Liturgy since 2007. At the University of Zagreb, Crnčević was the deputy chairman of the University Council for Social Sciences and the Humanities and a member of the Senate (2019-2021). He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors at the Catholic University of Croatia (2008-2011), the head of the Croatian Institute for Liturgical Pastoral Care (HILP) at the Croatian Conference of Catholic Bishops (2004-2021), and as Editor-in-Chief of the "Živo vrelo" liturgical review. 

Fr. Crnčević holds a Ph.D. in liturgical sciences from the Pontifical Institute of Liturgy, Rome. He has published on topics such as liturgical diversity, the conception of worship, liturgical renewal, and the rite of baptism. At the University of Zagreb, he teaches in the areas of philosophical and theological studies, the study of religious pedagogy and catechetics, and the study of church music.
