Research Program Manager, Grants and Publications

Jake Kildoo serves as the research program manager for grants and publications at the Nanovic Institute for European studies, where he is responsible for shaping, advancing, and elevating Nanovic’s research profile. Before joining the institute, he served as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Notre Dame Press.

Jake holds a B.A. in philosophy and Arabic studies (Notre Dame, 2015), an M.A. in Islamic & Near Eastern Studies (WashU in St. Louis, 2018), and a Ph.D. in theology (Notre Dame, 2023). His primary research interests include Qur’anic studies and interreligious dialogue, and his publications have appeared in journals such as The Journal of Religion and Islam and Christian–Muslim Relations. During his doctoral studies, he was a distinguished graduate fellow at the Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Studies (2022–23) and a dissertation fellow at the Institute for Scholarship in the Liberal Arts (2023).

Outside of work, Jake can be found playing acoustic music, cooking, or annoying his dog and slew of cats.
