Bruna comes to the Institute with a background in human rights, EU integration, and conflict resolution, with a regional focus in the Western Balkans. Before joining the Notre Dame community, she was a Program Assistant at the Center for European Policy Analysis in Washington DC and worked previously at the Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding in New York. She obtained a Masters in Nationalism and Ethnic Conflict from University College Dublin in 2017, where her research examined the impact of women’s representation in parliament post-conflict looking at Bosnia and Herzegovina and Rwanda as case studies. She also holds a B.A. in Politics and Human Rights from the University of Essex.
