Ukrainian Studies Hub Research Grant

The Ukrainian Studies Hub within the Nanovic Institute for European Studies invites proposals for research projects on Ukraine and Ukrainian Studies on a rolling basis. Grant awards of up to $20,000 will be considered. Projects should have a duration of 12-24 months.

The grant review committee will prioritize projects exploring normative aspects of Ukrainian Studies (e.g., religious aspects, moral aspects, special attention to the peripheries and the most vulnerable, aspects of integral human development, aspects of resilience and recovery, challenges of justice and peace, etc.). The committee will also prioritize proposals jointly developed with our faculty colleagues at Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU). The projects are expected to serve Notre Dame’s commitment to Ukraine and Notre Dame’s partnership with UCU. The projects are also expected to lead to academic outputs, especially publications.
