The Nanovic Institute is offering a number of special domestic or virtual funding, internship, and research opportunities for summer 2021. Note that deadlines for external opportunities may differ from the Nanovic application deadline. Please check this page regularly for updates.

Nanovic Summer 2021 opportunities include: 

External Opportunities:  

  • The Diplomatic Academy of Vienna’s EU Policy Making Course: The Institute will cover tuition for up to ten accepted students. Students can apply to the program here, and for Nanovic support here. 
  • Internship Opportunities at the Ukranian Museum Archives, Cleveland, OH: The Institute will fund up to four internships (salary of $13.00/hr, and living expenses) with the Ukranian Museum Archives in Cleveland. Details about projects can be found here

Internal Opportunities: 

  • The Road to Europe: Exploring EU candidacy in the Balkans: The Institute invites interested undergraduates to work as research assistants on a project investigating EU candidacy in the Western Balkans. Project details can be found here
  • Traces of Europe: Mapping Europe in the United States: The Institute invites interested undergraduates to submit proposals for research involving European diasporas or European influence in the United States. Proposal guidelines and information can be found here.  
  • Health Care and Healing: Investigating European Healthcare Systems’ Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Institute invites interested undergraduates to work as research assistants on a project investigating European healthcare systems and the impact of COVID-19 on those systems.
