Join us for a lunchtime lecture on “Solidarity, Pope Saint John Paul II, and the Process of Reconciliation in Poland” by Michal Luczewski.

Professor Luczewski, deputy director of the Centre for the Thought of John Paul II in Warsaw and assistant professor in the Institute of Sociology (University of Warsaw), will examine the process of reconciliation between Solidarity members and members of the Communist regime who perpetrated violence against them. 

Luczewski is a visiting scholar at the Centre for Social Studies (Warsaw), Columbia University (New York, Fulbright), and the Institute for Human Sciences (Vienna). His most recent book is Solidarity Step by Step (2015). Cosponsored by the Nanovic Institute.
