Italy: Ultimo Atto? – Italy: Final Act?
Friday May 6, 12:00pm – 1:30pm, 201 O'Shaughnessy Hall

Please join us for a brown-bag lunch discussion with Paolo Bernardini, Professor of Modern European History at the School of Law of the University of Insubria in Como, Italy and Inaugural Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Study at Notre Dame, and Marina Calloni, Professor of Social and Political Philosophy, University of Milano-Bicocca and Italian Fulbright, University of Notre Dame.

Professor Bernardini argues that 2011 should be the last year of a unified Italian national state. In its place, he proposes full regional independence. Professor Calloni will deliver a response in what should be a stimulating and controversial discussion.

All who are interested in the present and future of Italy are welcome to attend. Lunch will be provided in 201 O'Shaughnessy Hall.
