Dr. Garret FitzGerald, former Foreign Minister and Taoiseach of Ireland, is currently a weekly columnist in the Irish Times, a member of the Council of State, President of the Institute of European Affairs, and a member of the International Affairs Committee of the Royal Irish Academy. Dr. FitzGerald will present a map-illustrated talk detailing the surprising findings of his recent research into education in Ireland in the early 19th-century.
