The winning book is selected by a jury of five eminent scholars in European studies, two of whom will be prominent scholars serving at institutions other than the University of Notre Dame.

Biographies of the jury will be available when final selection is complete. Please check back frequently for updates as to the status of the prize.

The final short list in the Humanities will be released January 2010 in preparation for the announcement of the winner in March 2010.
