Sophia Opatska earned her doctorate in Management from the Institute of Regional Researches in Ukraine and received business training at the Wharton School of Business and the Ross School of Management at the University of Michigan. She is currently the Dean of the Lviv Business School at Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU), where she also serves as the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs. At Notre Dame, Opatska researched ways of stimulating innovation and entrepreneurship through the creation of innovative ecosystems around universities, micro-lending/seed funding, and organizational management.
