Andrea Simoncini is a professor of Constitutional Law at the Department of Juridical Sciences of the University of Florence. He teaches constitutional law, environmental law, and regional law at the School of Law and Public Law Institutions at the School of Economics and Management. He was a Fulbright Distinguished Fellow at the Notre Dame Law School and visiting professor at the Nanovic Institute for  European Studies. Law School. He was an assistant professor of Professor Ugo De Siervo at the Constitutional Court between 2002 and 2003.
