Visiting Scholar Lecture with Father Peter Volek

Father Peter Volek is a professor and head of the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy at the Catholic University of Ružomberok in Slovakia. He is a visiting scholar at the Nanovic Institute during the fall semester and will be conducting research at the Nanovic Institute on the topic of human freedom with the respect of the results of neuroscience. He will present a lunchtime lecture entitled “Free Will and Neuroscience” on Tuesday, November 19th at 12:30 p.m.

Lunch will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Directions: Walking north between the Basilica and Main Building, look for the INSTITUTE FOR EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES office, with flower boxes on the porch rails. Enter the office and the McGlinn Room is a large multi-purpose room on the right.
