The 5th Great Lakes Ottomanist Workshop will take place at Notre Dame on April 11-13, 2008. This conference will include paper presentations on the Ottoman Empire as well as roundtable discussions with scholars from across the nation on “Who was an Ottoman?”. All sessions on Saturday and Sunday are free and open to the public. This event was made possible with the support of the Institute for Scholarship in the Liberal Arts, the Nanovic Institute for European Studies, and the Medieval Institute.
