Irena Backus is Professor of Reformation History and Ecclesiastical Latin at the University of Geneva (Institut d’histoire de la Réformation). Her most recent books are Reformation Readings of the Apocalypse: Geneva, Zurich, and Wittenberg (Oxford Studies in Historical Theology), and Historical Method and Confessional Identity in the Era of the Reformation (1378-1615 (Studies in Medieval and Reformation Traditions).
